Iwate: home sweet home

Rice paddy farms
rocky coast, which is fortunately in my front yard
and many small, family vegetable farms mushed inbetween the rice paddy fields and the ocean

it's not glamorous, well-known or popular.

it is quiet, slow and predictable.

it's not what i had imagined and because of that - it's even better! immersion into 'village life' offers a real education on Japanese culture and lifestyle. saying goodbye to people is always difficult, but leaving the most respectful culture I have ever been a part of, behind, will leave me feeling quite empty.
