my FIRST & LAST weeks in Japan were spent doing

week-long+ homestays with the 2 families pictured above.

these special folks brought me to the station to see me off

(a nice way of bringing closure to what was the greatest year of my life). this picture reminds me of the last round of

tears, squeezes & hugs.
