taneichi pals
These folks have partied at my house and appeared on my blog many a times. Last nite was the last of said parties to be had at this house. HOW SAD is that...fortunatley, we were able to make plans for sayonara party number 2 at a local bar next month. The end of the nite was filled with long squeezes and reminsicing over previous parties, making plans for future visits in Japan and the States. Lastly, I was presented with a beautiful yukata (or summer kimono)! It is SO beautiful and one of the most special gifts I will have received in Japan. Look for the yukata in future postings at all of Taneichi's summer festivals! Mucho mucho mucho gracias mi amigos!
Uzen is SO adorable.
Actually BOTH of these guys are adorable... ;)
manami is the sweetest - with an infectious girlie giggle.
Together again. We have taken countless roadtrips all over northern Japan. Taira, Manami, Hatsumi and Junko are my japanesey-college party girls. We have tentatively spoken of a possible reunion in Vegas someday...I hope that plan comes to fruition as I will miss these girls terribly.
Munehisa: old friend but maybe a new face on this blog. Munehisa is my world traveler pal (he recently just got back from the World Cup). his english is doable and he is so thoughtful and considerate. and on this village's dreaminess scale, he is right up there ;) unfortunately he works 16 hour days at his family's market. but i was guarenteed a quick peek each week as i bought all of my produce this year from his store ;) i love you ladies!
